The
Quejada family is one of
the oldest Spanish
colonial families in the
Philippines and the
design of their armorial
bearings reflects the
armorial Quijada
tradition of 3 roses.
The golden chalice
represents their strong
ties to the Catholic
Church; the two swords
symbolise the strength
of the family during
troubled times; the star
represents the "Evening
Star," also known as the
planet Venus in the
night sky after which
the bearer is named; the
garb of wheat represents
the family’s connections
with the land and the
Pegasus, the winged
mythical horse,
represents a will to
survive.
The armiger was born
April 24, 1970 in Cebu
City, Philippines and
was baptized in Our Lady
of Guadalupe. She was
married August 7, 1992
to Dr. Ian Day, MD,
FRSA, FRSM, and they
reside in Florida.
The armiger’s parents
are Rodolfo de La Pena
Quejada and Nelda
Arandia Rivera.
