The silver winged horse with fishtail denotes Spanish heritage from Spain to South America and the Armiger's love of fishing; the eagle's wing represents the armiger’s ties to the United States. The anchor represents the armiger’s Naval Military service and the Cross represents his religious beliefs. The Silver tower and dagger represent safety and strength. The Checkered cauldron represents the origins of the Guzmán name.

The label of three points is the appropriate cadency mark for a firstborn son.
