These
are the personal
arms for Mr.
Robert Lee
Graham of
Pasadena Texas,
and are borne
with a mark of
cadency by his
one and only
child, his son,
Christopher Lee
Graham.
The
shield is based
upon the stem
arms of Graham
viz three gold
escallop shells
on a black field
(Sir John Graham
of Dundaff
carried a banner
with three
golden escallops
on a field of
black and those
same three
escallops upon a
black ground are
a feature of the
Chiefly arms of
Montrose); the
escallop is an
accepted common
feature in
Graham arms.
The
crest sits on an
Or and Sable
torse. The three
conjoined golden
tridents also
show three
golden escallops
at the fork all
representing the
armiger’s three
siblings whom he
sees himself as
a protector of.
The helm is here
depicted as a
Mark V deep-sea
diving helmet
denoting his
long career as a
commercial
diver. The
traditional
mantling is
replaced with
the Or and Sable
tentacles of an
octopus
representing his
unpredictable
cunningness and
his mystical
ability to grow
and heal. The
Sable Chevron
represents a
long
professional
history working
as a commercial
deep-sea diver
for energy
companies.
The
motto tells
everyone of a
preparedness for
any situation
and that the
bearer is
standing by
ready to help
even at a
moment’s notice.
