The Arms of
                                                Salvatore Giardina

The armiger is a Knight of Malta and Knight of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. The design for the arms was begun by Raul Vidal y Sepulveda and completed by Ozzy Marecenaro, both fellow Knights of Malta and Knights of the Constantinian Order of St George.

The armiger holds dual citizenship of the USA and Italy and the arms reflect this and his Sicilian heritage; both of his parents were born and married in Pozzallo, Sicily and he has traced his paternal lineage to the foundation of the family in Modica, Sicily with the wedding of Martino Giardina in 1582. Prior to the foundation of Pozzallo as a Commune, all diocesan records were kept in Modica. The armiger’s ancestors moved to Pozzallo in the early 1800’s. The crowned eagle represents the city of Modica, the sword & cross represent the defence of faith, and the uprooted tree is an ancient symbol from the arms of Giardina.
