The Arms of Steven
                                                Kent Ballard

The arms were designed by the armiger and incorporate the tinctures of the English arms granted in another era to four individuals with the Ballard surname. The two Jupiter bolts represent two decades spent in military service. The griffin sejant ermine represents his retirement, still vigilant and is to honour his ancestors. In the crest the mullet pierced gules reflects the longstanding military tradition in the United States Air Force of this family.

The armiger served for 21 years in the United States Air Force to the rank of Technical Sergeant. His arms succinctly reflect his heritage and career. His military awards include: Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Achievement Medal, Outstanding Unit award with silver oak leaf cluster, Good Conduct Medal with silver oak leaf cluster, National Defence Medal, Force Protection Badge, Maintenance Senior Badge, Air Education and Training Command: Instructor Badge.
