Crest: An osprey proper wings elevated and addorsed grasping a salmon in its dextor talon.

Motto: NIL SINE HONORE

Badge: A dragon passant Gules within a chaplet of oak fructed Proper.

Standard: Upon a standard three and a half meters in length of four tracts Vert and Or, split at the end, having Azure a St Andrews Cross Argent in the hoist, with the motto in letters Sable upon two transverse bands Argent, the badge depicted in the first and third compartments and crest in the centre compartment.

The arms are pertinent to the armiger and his family. The green signifies the earth and the closeness and connection that he, and that of his family feel towards it. The six acorns represent the armiger's children and as the tree grows and matures he prays that his children grow in stature and strength of character as symbolised by the oak. The end product of the oak, is also used in the family business. The stag is a symbol of Mr Smith's birth and his closeness to nature as is the crest with the osprey and salmon, being inextricably linked with Scotland. The motto illustrates the armigers personal belief that there is "nothing without honour".
