John Amos Logan

Registered: The International Register of Arms, 6th March 2011. Registration No. 0181.

Arms: Or, a man’s heart Gules pierced by three passion nails Sable, on a chief of the Second three garbs of the First.

Crest: A man’s heart Gules pierced by a passion nail Sable.

Motto:
 Semper Virtute

Pennon: 120 centimetres long of these liveries Or and Gules, with the Petitioner’s arms in the hoist, bearing the motto "Semper Virtute" in two lines counterchanged. The pennon is limited to the armiger and his successors in these arms.

Grant: Court of the Lord Lyon, 5 Feb 2009-recorded 24th page of the 89th volume.

The Arms of John
                                                Amos Logan

The armiger, John Amos Logan born in 1940, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, with a Bachelor’s degree (BA). He is the head of his family and holds the lands of Afton Glen in the Orkney Isles of Scotland. A four year Veteran of the U.S. Air Force he last served with MATS in Taiwan, China.

Currently, he is a Captain in the Veteran Corps of Artillery, State of New York (an Historic Military Command est. in 1790) and holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on the New York State Retired List. The heir to these arms is currently his eldest son, John Amos Logan the younger.
