                                                Marei Binmahfouz Baron
                                                of Abernethy

The armiger is a Doctor of Philosophy of Oxford University, Master of Laws of the American University of London, and Bachelor of Laws with Honours of King Abulaziz University, Jeddah. He was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia and is married to Faizah, daughter of Abdulaziz Mohammed Abdulaziz Algabbaa, Prince of Dhabya, and has issue by her an elder son and heir apparent, Mohammed Mahfouz Binmahfouz, a second son, Suliman, Mahfouz Marai Binmahfouz, an elder daughter, Balquis Mahfouz Marai Binmahfouz, and a younger daughter, Albatol Mahfouz Marai Binmahfouz.

The arms reflect the livery colours of the flag of Saudi Arabia which also features a sword. The sword chosen by the armiger for inclusion in his achievement is a representation of one of the nine swords of The Prophet (the armiger is a collector of weaponry). The scales reflect his legal training and the lion is a nod to the original Abernethy arms which are a lion rampant Gules surmounted of a ribbon Sable.
