The Arms of Elvira
                                                Freitas Rodrigues
                                                Pinto-Correia

Elvira Freitas Rodrigues Pinto-Correia was born on January 5th, 1924, in the civil parish of São Martinho, Funchal, Madeira Island.

She married Jorge Sérgio Pinto-Correia, a textile merchant from Santo António, and together they produced one child, a son, Jorge Maurício Pinto-Correia.

The arms of the armiger are impaled with those of her husband. The goose's head is a nod to Saint Martin, the patron saint of her birthplace, while the gillyflowers symbolize the late armiger's love for gardening and tranquil life. The red and yellow gillyflowers on her arms also allude to her brother and sister (Juvenal and Berta, respectively), that emigrated to Venezuela and never returned to live in Madeira.
