Arms: Gules, on a fess Argent an open book Proper bearing at dexter the letter A and at sinister the letter Ω both Or with three straps of the field fesswise in pale each buckled at dexter Proper, between in chief three mullets of six points and in base a lion passant all of the Third and all within a bordure Sable charged with seven crossbows (3,2,2) of the Third. 

Crest: Above the shield is a helm befitting his degree with mantling Gules doubled Argent and for a Crest, Issuant from the coronet of a Rwandan Baron a wildcat Proper langued Gules gorged and chained Or.

Motto: Nunquam Timidus.

Certification: Chronicler King of Arms of Castile and Leon at Segovia, Spain on 13th June 2019 with reference number 22/2019.

Registration: The Office of the Chief Herald of Arms of Malta 10th October 2020, Archive Registration Number Vol. 1 R0011/20. Gazette Reference 22nd April 2022.

The Arms reflects the academic background of Professor George A. Said-Zammit and his long-time experience in research and education. It also reflects his high level profile as Ambassador of Malta. The open book is a symbol of wisdom and research and this is a testimomy of the bearer's high academic background. The three stars are symbol of light, while the lion rampant is a symbol of the bearer's determination to achieve. This is also evident in the motto: Nunquam Timidus (never afraid). The cross-bows symbolize the quest for justice, knowledge and fairness.

The armiger is a Knight Grand Cross of the Imperial Order of Dom Pedro I (Imperial House of Brazil), Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Lion, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Crested Crane, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Crown (Royal House of Rwanda), Knight Commander of the Equestrian Order of the  Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, Knight Commander of the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus (Royal House of Savoy), Knight of the Constantinian Order of St. George (Bourbon-Two Sicilies), Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St. Michael of the Wing (Royal House of Portugal), Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Star of Ethiopia, Knight Grand Cross of Menelik II, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Holy Trinity (Imperial House of Ethiopia); Grand Cordon of the Royal Order of the Egyptian Crown (Royal House of Egypt), Member of the Noble Brotherhood of Crossbowmen of Alfano in La Rioja (Kingdom of Spain), Member of the Order of Vitez in Hungary, Doctor of Philosophy (University of Leiden, The Netherlands), Master of Arts (University of Durham, United Kingdom), Bachelor of Arts (University of Malta) - all in Archaeology, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Ambassador of Malta to the State of Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Iraq, a citizen of Malta.
 

The armiger is the recipient of the barony of Nyanza granted by the late King Kigeli V of Rwanda and a similar title presented to him by the Crown Prince of Ethiopia H.I.H. Zere Yacobe Asfa Wossen Haille Selassie. These titles are officially mentioned in Letters Patent issued by the Cronista des Armas of Castile and Leon as well as by the Chief Herald of Arms of Malta.
