The Arms of Michele
                                              Bellaveglia

The Bellaveglia coat of arms is recorded in the armorial “Stemmario Mattei" held in the library of the "Collegio Araldico" in Rome and is also registered in the "Stemmario Italiano" database. Unfortunately the registration date of this coat of arms is unknown. The family is an ancient one, originally from the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, which in the XVI century was in the State of the Church (Papal States).

The arms are canting arms alluding to the armoured knight acting as a guard or sentry to the castle keep (Bella Veglia).
