The
armiger, a resident
of Cyprus since
1984, was awarded
the MBE in the 1994
New Years Honours
List when serving as
a Flight Lieutenant
in the Royal Air
Force. He is an
Officer of the Order
of St. John, a
Knight of the Holy
Sepulchre, a Knight
Grand Cross of the
Order of the
Georgian Kingdom,
and a Knight Grand
Cross of the Order
of the Templars of
Jerusalem.
The field of the
arms represents
Ireland, Eire, and
the Celtic Crosses
represent an Irish
Catholic bloodline
of over 400 years on
the island of
Ireland. The Rod of
Aesculapios
represent the
armiger's
association with St
John Ambulance since
1963. The escallope
represents his
residency in Cyprus
since 1984 and his
strong links to
Jerusalem and the
Holy Land.
The
crest emulates
the Eagle
(Swift) wing
badge of an
RAF Navigator
representing
the armiger's
career in
Search and
Rescue crew
(17 years) and
a total of 32
years in the
Service. He is
presently CEO
of his own HSE
Company in
Cyprus.
The Motto, Cuardaim
Eolas, is in
Irish Gaelic and
translates to "I
search for
Information".
