The
Arms, designed and
Certified by the late
Don Vicente de Cadenas y
Vicent, King of Arms of
Spain, are based on the
Original XVI Century
Arms of the old Casas
lineage from Barcelona,
Spain (dexter) and the
Original XVII Century
Arms of the Sanchez
lineage from Rioja,
Spain (sinister). Most
of the recent Spanish
Arms are based on the
Arms of the original
lineage. In order to
have this done, the
petitioner has to prove
that he descends from
that lineage but can not
use the original arms if
he is not a direct
descendant from the
first armiger.
The armiger is a member
of The Heraldry Society
(England); Caballero of
the Noble Compañia de
Ballesteros Hijosdalgo
de San Felipe y
Santiago, established in
the City of Alfaro, La
Rioja, Spain in the XIV
century and a Caballero
Honorario de la Real
Irmandade de San Miguel
del Ala. Portugal. The
Original Order of San
Miguel del Ala was
founded in the year
1265. The actual
Irmandad is headed by
Dom Duarte, Duke of
Braganza.
