The Arms of Richard David
                                              Johnson

The armiger has a fondness for dragons and so this was an obvious choice to form the basis of the arms. The hammer, described as Thor’s Hammer, refers to the armiger’s maternal ancestors who were blacksmiths in Thursley, Surrey; it represents both a blacksmiths hammer and the etymology of Thursley which is Thor’s Lee, Thor being the Norse God of Thunder, worshiped by the Anglo Saxons.

The Eastern Crown alludes to the armiger’s personal involvement with Eastcourt in the Parish of Oving, Sussex, and the crest dragon holds a Ceremonial, or Manorial, Mace which refers to the occupation of the armiger’s father, a Civil Servant serving in the Houses of Parliament. It is also a nod to the Courts Leet and Baron of the Manor of Mousehill, near Millford from whence the armiger’s maternal ancestors originate.

The armiger is a member of The Knights of Saint Thomas of Canterbury UK; Knight Grand Cross and Grand Commander of West Sussex.
