The Badge of
                                                      of Jacob Simon
                                                      Flamberg

Badge: Upon a grassy Mount Vert issuing therefrom a Plum Tree proper fructed Purpure a Fox dormant also proper.

The blue and Black firstly represent the colours of the academic robes of a Master of Science, but also represent a duality. The Fess Wavy is emblematic of the flaming sword, reflecting the name Flamberg. The Wolf Courant, is an lone animal yet runs in a close pack, fiercely protecting it's own. The plum trees are a pun on a legendary origin of the family name. The Phoenix represents again the duality of light and dark and its broken chain represents a break with the past allowing the new born bird to fly free.
