Mr.
Constable has proved his
right to these arms
(Pedigree; College of
Arms) as a direct
descendant of Sir Robert
Constable, Lord of
Newark Castle, who
married Katherine
Manners, daughter of
George Manners, Baron
ROS. Sir Robert
Constable was a son of
Sir Marmaduke Constable,
Lord of Everingham who
had both the Constable
of Flambrough coat of
Arms, also the ' golden
ship ' coat of arms.
These are the ancient
arms of Constable of
Everingham and
Flamburgh, Yorkshire
(Burke’s General Armory
and Foster's pedigrees).
