                                                      Settee

Designed and emblazoned by Lee Lumbley.

The design is based on a combination of factors: the badge representing the Medicine Wheel of indigenous peoples refers to the armiger’s First Nations heritage. The Cross symbolizes his connection to the Sinclair’s of Scotland in the colours of his homeland Canada. The Lymphads come from the armiger’s Scottish ancestors crossing the Atlantic and references a familial connection with the Earl of Caithness as well the armiger’s family ties to fishing. The whole shield is differenced by a Bordure Ermine which is in reference to the fur trade which first brought the armiger’s Scottish ancestors to Canada.

The Crest design comes from the importance of the Raven to First Nations, the Trefoils from an Irish Heritage, and the Crocus is the provincial flower from the armiger’s place of birth.

The Motto and words on the badge originate from personal meaning and experience.
